Pros: Easy install.
Cons: > Interferes with loading of many webpages.
> Repetitive warnings are unclear.
> Prevented MS update to Windows Defender.

"This program delivers what it says it will and more."
Pros: Z/A was always first to catch a bad guy. The others were close, but, behind.
Cons: There is some sort of conflict problem right now with Microsoft.
Summary: After years with Z/A I had to go with PCTools until the conflict is cleared up. When it is, I'll switch back in a heartbeat. read more

"Run of the mill firewall that's not entirely efficient"
Pros: Stays in the background most of the time, doing its job unobtrusively.
Cons: Not always easy to determine the identity of the threats that are revealed. By no means completely reliable. After running ZoneAlarm Pro for over a month , I carried out an online scan this morning and found that 235 threats had been allowed through.
Summary: Most of the time functions quietly and unobtrusively in the background, but it doesn't catch all of the spyware, not by any means, and somewhat worryingly, it allows some medium-level threats to get through. No better than any of the others I have tr... read more
