Version: PDF ReDirect 2.2.8
Pros: I reviewed tons of PDF's for merging, this one IS the easiest, fastest, most robust and best organized.
5 stars!
Cons: The only thing it couldn't do is convert my music software to pdf. BTW, my music software is 10 years old and the new version messed everything up, so it was too much to reconfigure to the new.
Thanks!

Pros: This freebie software fills a real need: making PDF files. Otherwise you have to buy expensive Acrobat software from Adobe to get the job done. This software works flawlessly for me, every single time. It installed without a hitch and it's so simple to use and it just works. If has lots of nifty features and it allows editing of PDF files to some extent (splitting them and merging them, e.g.). It works in the usual way, installing a printer driver in Windows. You direct your application to print to the driver and the driver captures the application's printer output and translates it into a PDF and then you can save the file. It works with any application; no one has to know anything about Postscript.
It's super handy for storing snapshots of files that otherwise you can't e-mail around, like an Access report or a Word document that contains embedded Postscript objects, or a document that you can't print on another workstation because the needed application is not installed over there.
