Accel SpeedTec modifies Windows settings to speed data transfer. This gives you faster Web browsing, downloading, e-mail, online gaming, chat, and more. The program supports AOL and DUN 1.3. Features include a quick-start guide, one-button operation for beginners, a 'Defaults' button to return original settings, a 'Find MaxMTU' button to check your connection for proper setting, and a Hosts File editor that will further speed access to your favorite Web sites. "Slooooooooooow"

Summary: I installed AccelTec on a 4-yr old computer running windows 98SE and removed it the next day. SpeedTec actually improved my connection speed after removing it, yet slowed the connection speed drastically while installed.

"Simple, straightforward"
