BillQuick Lite makes time tracking and invoicing automatic. The application includes more than 400 reports and invoice templates. Enter time in as few as two keystrokes. The software handles hourly, fixed fee, hourly not to exceed, and recurring contract types. Besides tracking time, BillQuick Lite 2006 also includes project management features allowing you to track your job and engagements accurately. This software is designed for architects, engineers, contractors, accountants, CPA, attorneys, computer consultants, graphics designer, and all other professional consultants. Version 7.0.84 includes improvements in QuickBooks integration.

Note: This is a very large (123MB) file and may take several hours to download via dial-up modem.

• "BillQuick keeps you out of the red"

Here's a powerful piece of office software that won't put you in the red. With the free BillQuick Lite, you can generate intermediate invoices, track money outflow, and assess total payments with ease. Though the interface looks busy, with a multitude of icons and options, the Outlook-style layout makes the app familiar even for first-time users. Role-based navigation streamlines the workflow and keeps confusion mostly at bay.

Overall, we found it quite intuitive, though the icons could be more explicit. The file size of the download is rather large, and the installation takes correspondingly long. But that's a minor quibble, more than offset by the zero-dollar price. From charting billable hours to managing multiple fee schedules, contractors won't be able to believe their luck with BillQuick Lite.

  Cons: I thought it was free!! it says 30 days expires

  "Not Free only for 30 days False Advertising"

  Cons: This is not a free program without limitations as stated by this company. False advertising. I wouldn't even try this program for free after being mislead. DELETED of my computer.

  "This is an EVAL, definitely NOT free"

  Cons: Can you say BAIT and SWITCH? This application was advertised as having a FREE license, but after waiting through the 120Mb+ download and installing, I'm told this is a 7-day EVAL. I don't mind one bit if you charge for your software, just don't tell me it's free when it's not. Grrrr...removing it IMMEDIATELY.

  "Not free, waste of time"

  Pros: None

  Cons: Total waste of time, I have no idea why cnet says it's free. The program ask for username and password when there is none, and when I selected help it locked up my screen. After entering employee information and company information, you're done. That's it! The trail program is useless. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
