"Quick, easy, free"

Although it lacks a few of the bells and whistles found in other PC-cleaning applications, this free program offers more than enough features to make it a worthy download. CCleaner's interface is logically designed and makes it easy to wipe away your tracks from Internet Explorer and Mozilla, various Windows system areas, and some third-party applications.

CCleaner doesn't support a large number of extraneous programs as some competitors do, but it can erase traces from such popular programs as Spybot - Search & Destroy and WinZip. Also missing is a secure file shredder, but it makes up for the omission by supplying a Registry-cleaning utility, which quickly scans for invalid entries before removing them. CCleaner can even back up your Registry before removal, in case it accidentally removes a crucial component, and the download includes a feature for uninstalling any program on your machine.

Since this free application handles the majority of PC-cleaning chores and offers a nice extra, we have no problem recommending CCleaner to all users, except those who need to get rid of supersensitive data.

"one of my favorites"

Pros: this is one of my favorite free software and there is no advertisement telling you to buy the pro version cause there is no pro version thats what makes it unbelievable because it is the most effective registry cleaner i have ever tried. my first registry scan it found 500 obsolete keys. and when i deleted them now my computer runs as fast when i bought it. ccleaner also gets rid of all the temporary internet files and crap that just wastes space.

"Reclaim and remove."

Pros: I started using this app earlier this year and have used it two or three times a week ever since. I like that it keeps garbage file populations down and their content under control with a the click of the mouse. Works fast and equally as well as any like program that I have tried.

Cons: Any increase in the application history cleaner is an improvement but this is good, just as it is.

"Too good to be free!"

Pros: Excellent program, try registry mechanics, system mechanics and tweaknow registry cleaner pro edition but they are not as effective as Ccleaner on my machine.
Good job for ccleaner developer.

Cons: Can't think of one.

"This Cleaner Hooked Me Up!"

Pros: My computer starts much quicker now. It deleted all the krap left behind by uninstalled programs. Sharman Networks is goneeee (Kazaa related files)...couldn't get rid of it at all. I'd delete it with spysubtract, restart my comp, scan again and it would be there again. CCleaner found it and now it's completely gone.

Cons: Nothing. It knows what programs are krap so it will not find false positives.

"Simple & Effective - Version: 1.23.160 review"

Pros: Very straight forward and easy to learn in seconds. Very fast cleaning, cleans in minutes. Can also fix registry issues. Software gets updated at least once a month. You set what you want to be cleaned, which programs, which cookies, etc.
It's FREE

Cons: needs to do an automaticly backup to a folder for registry issues, not me doing save as each time.
