CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a system-optimization tool. It removes unused and temporary files from your system, allowing it to run faster and more efficiently, and giving you more hard-disk space. The application cleans traces left by Windows, Internet Explorer, and third-party applications.

Version 1.23.160 improvements: options section now remembers the last tab; fixed progress bar inconsistency when switching between modes; fixed bug in Temp file cleaning, where a file could be included twice in the analysis; added "Save to Text File..." to Uninstall list; added right-click menu to Uninstall list; fixed bug in Startup folder item deletion; updated Quicktime Player 7.0 cleaning; added a Greek translation; updated Dutch translation; minor display tweaks.

• "Quick, easy, free"

Although it lacks a few of the bells and whistles found in other PC-cleaning applications, this free program offers more than enough features to make it a worthy download. CCleaner's interface is logically designed and makes it easy to wipe away your tracks from Internet Explorer and Mozilla, various Windows system areas, and some third-party applications.

CCleaner doesn't support a large number of extraneous programs as some competitors do, but it can erase traces from such popular programs as Spybot - Search & Destroy and WinZip. Also missing is a secure file shredder, but it makes up for the omission by supplying a Registry-cleaning utility, which quickly scans for invalid entries before removing them. CCleaner can even back up your Registry before removal, in case it accidentally removes a crucial component, and the download includes a feature for uninstalling any program on your machine.

Since this free application handles the majority of PC-cleaning chores and offers a nice extra, we have no problem recommending CCleaner to all users, except those who need to get rid of supersensitive data.

  "Faster cleaner than the ones you have to pay for"

  Pros: CCleaner is fast and free and even catches the crap that TuneUp utilities,Super utilities,and WinASO miss on their scans. I think it is the best free software product on the internet and give it 5 big stars and two thumbs way up! Download it now,recover your disk space and speed up your pc!

  "Great Little App"

  Pros: Well what can I say when I used it for the first time I freed up over 250mb of hard drive & I managed to fix up invalid registry entries that TweakNow Regcleaner Missed.

  "Cleans and sweeps your pc for free =D"

  Pros: First runs an analysis, so you can be sure that it doesnt remove any files without your permission, it frees up lots of space, and i had many unused and annoying folders from programs which had left them behind after uninstallation, but this fixed it all up. Two thumbs up!

  Pros: I wish i find this earlyer. i already buy a history cleaner , but this one cleanes same good and FASTER!!.

  Even search for errors and problems!

  What a great program is this !!!

  I LOVE IT !! i wish i find this earlyer so i dont spend my mony for the other one.

  CCleaner IS SUPER!!!! DELETE ALL YOUR TRACKS AND HISTORY AND FIX ERRORS ASWELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Pros: IT CAN EVEN DELETE GOOGLE SEARCH WHICH TRACKS ERASER CANNOT DO.

  Cons: I LOOKED AT IT LAST YEAR, AND DID NOT LIKE IT, BUT I MISS IT.
