Version: Cactus Spam Filter 1.20
Pros: - Easy to train filter.
- Ease of install.
- Works well with Outlook.
- Lightweight (not processor intensive).
- No tags added to outbound email.
I tried many different free spam filters and this is by far the best one. One thing I really hated about a few of the others I tried were after 30 days the "free" filter would tag outbound emails with the spam filter name to boost subscription. I thought that was junk. Cactus Spam Filter does just what it says it does - filter and nothing more. You need to set up a rule after installing it to send spam to deleted items or another folder to check later. I am really happy with this application - so far no Outlook Crashes and does not add anything to Outlook toolbar.
Cons: So far no cons - I am very happy with this application.

"Excellent Program! Works As Advertised."
Pros: Used with Eudora 5.2, and the filtering accuracy is near 100%. Totally unobtrusive.
Cons: Training is a bit cumbersome.

Pros: Easy to use. Doesn't slow down system. Cleans spam 90% and I have had it only one week. Very intuitive. I have tried many others and this is by far the easiest and most effective. All you do is classify whether or not your incoming email is spam or not. In a short time the program learns and you won't have to do this anymore.
Cons: Requires you go to their website for help. I use AGV virus program and this sometimes slows down the download of emails, but has speeded up as Cactus Spam learns.

Cons: Uploading files to somewhere. I'm not sure if it's uploading the spam email to it's server.
