Version: Cactus Spam Filter 2.13
Pros: This is a nice piece of software and is easy enough to use for Outlook Express.
Occasionally we all get spam of which we cannot get rid of even after unsubscribing to e-mails...this software has just about everything you need in one completely FREE programme.
You will need to spend a few minutes to get familiar with the settings, but once this has been done the programme does exactly as it says and is very effective.
For the best results simply open up 'Outlook Express' click on Tools then 'Mail Rules' and Cactus opens up then add 'new rule' and click on "For All Messages" (tick the box) and then move to the next section (Delete/ forward etc...I simply use delete) At the bottom section simply click on the blue high lighted tab and add the text of which you want to be blocked then click 'ok'.... and then move on to new rule 2/3/4 etc...it is a doddle to use and i highly recommend it!
Cons: No cons whatsoever...

Pros: It's quick to learn, simple to set up and use. Short training period.
Cons: It misses one every once in a while.

"Can't get any function from the download to filter anything."
Cons: Have read what's available and I can't get it to filter anything from my email. Tried to "train it" but not successful. Wouldn't use again. Deleted the program.

"Great I love this program it is one of my 10 favorites on my machine."
Pros: Very stable program. Will not freeze of crash your machine. Does not alter your email to advertise it self. Does not anoy people with chalenge response emails. Cathces most spam. As you can see I have tried the other spam catchers and this is the best free one I have found.
Cons: It does let in a very small amount of spam. The training process is anoying, If you change machines alot -- I could see where that might be a deal killer. It should know a bit more about spam on day one, but for a free program one can only ask so much.
