Version: Cactus Spam Filter 2.13
"Works OK for Free it's pretty good."
Pros: For a free piece of software it works ok, with just a few niggles.
Once Outlook Express is configured to send emails marked ***Cactus Spam*** to a folder of your choice, it cuts down on the spam you receive in your inbox.
Cons: You need to keep checking the settings in the training arena, from time to time it flags up emails from senders already trained as 'Good'.

"Works ok, but is not Intergrated into the client"
Pros: The software is fairly comprehensive, training can be confusing but with a bit of patience can be easily mastered. The product does a good job (once trained) of filtering out Spam E-mails. If you do not mind the overhead of another program running resident in your tray, then it is not bad. If you are ever mindful of system overhead and resource usage you may want to look elsewhere.
Cons: No true integration with E-mail clients. The description leads you to believe that it is fully integrated when in fact it is a stand alone program that monitors from the outside. This program starts when you boot up and runs resident waiting for use. It is not a heavy resource use, but still, it is resident in nature. A true integrated program would start when you start your E-mail client and stop when you exit it. This does not do that at all. I am somewhat disappointed with that, considering that it actually does work well overall. Make it truly integrated with the clients and I will give it 5 Stars!

Pros: It got one star because it had an Uninstall feature that I hope works better than the program.
Cons: You down load this thing and straight to the VCR directions you go.... I tried it with a simple program "Outlook Express". The directions are not even right! Give me a break Cnet. Your tech people need to remember when reviewing a product, review it from the average users perspective, not from the tape on the glasses tech view. Sheesh. This spam filter is BAD for poor directions alone. No need to use up time trying to go further. Uninstall!!!!!!!!!

Pros: None
Cons: Difficult to understand and not fully integrated to the e-mail client.
This program block my pop3 after the installation.
Sorry but not worthy to recommend.

Pros: 2nd day of use, and it's only missed one spam, and on the second attempt by that "from" address it's picked it up...
much better than the "dog" of a programme I used to use ;o)
Cons: None, it's freeware, it's got cactus in the title, and it works :oD
