From Everlast Software:ES Image Printer Driver is a software printer driver that is accessible from any program that can utilize a CUPS printer. Images are produced from the driver and stored on a specified drive and location with incremental numbers. The driver is flexible and supports several image file formats such as PNG, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, Multi-Page TIFF, PNM, JPEG 2000, and PDF (default). The PDF's that are created may contain actual text which can be searched and/or edited by an appropriate PDF viewer. Common uses for the driver are in conjunction with document imaging systems, testing environments, help with troubleshooting, screenshot capture sharing.
Images can be automatically emailed via SMTP or uploaded via FTP, HTTP, or SOAP messaging. They can also be automatically inserted into a database via JDBC or ODBC. The driver even has the ability to generate thumbnail images. Version 1.2.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
