Publisher's description of IL-2 Sturmovik demo
IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles introduces a dynamic campaign. The dynamic campaigns are automatically generated, and the player can select his or her nation, squadron, and aircraft to fly. Players can also decide when they want to join the war. After the completion of each mission, the results will be processed and another mission will automatically be generated - and so on, until the end of war. Results of one mission will carry on to the next and no two missions will be the same. During the campaigns, forces will advance or retreat, based on the history of the battles. However, frontline movements can speed up or slow down in limited degree. Additionally, resource tracking is present and objects destroyed in one mission will stay destroyed in the next. Every destroyed plane, friendly or hostile, reduces the number of planes of this type in the theatre, making their appearance less likely. Destroyed trains and transport columns will affect supply rate. If an ace is killed or captured, he will not appear in future battles.

Version: IL-2 Sturmovik demo
"awesome depth of graphic realizm and genuine aircraft details"
Pros: Easy to change interfacing effects and control. Selection of configurations give a variety of different scenarios to play. A sim above the best.

Version: IL-2 Sturmovik demo
"Excelent: good dogfight mode server/search"
Pros: It works acceptably even on the most obsolete rigs at "medium" setings. Single player is good with "keyboard control" on "easy" settings, add "Takeoff & landings" also "realistic gunnery" at most. Here I can't get a Joysik yet (third world sindrome) but I enjoy it for training until meanwhile.
Quality of graphics is excelent. Hope you have flown something or other in "RealLife", like ultralights or RC models. That's what makes it a great simulator
Cons: The "keyboard control". GoogleEart FlightSim mode has the right idea: mouse control on the plane! Lots more adaptable...żIs it so difficult to use on IL-2 demo? (żOr on ANY other Sim?)

Version: IL-2 Sturmovik demo
"A powerful and challenging demo flight sim"
Summary: Considering that this is freeware, it is a superb game. Even with the limitations (full features only available in the complete game) there are a lot of options. The demo allows you to fly four Russian planes -- IL-2, P-39, Yak-9, La-5 -- and two Ge... read more >>
