PacDoom is an amusing strategic game for fun and pleasure. It combines the elements of arcade and quest games. Destroy the evil monsters that are waiting for you on your long and dangerous way out of the terrible maze. This version contains new and improved features that will make you enjoy this game even more than before, such as different monsters and new weapons to defeat them. There is no violence, only entertainment and fun, that's what you need to have a really good time. In both the registered and the unregistered versions, you can create the levels of your own--be the master of the situation and improve your skills. The evil Virus that created different monsters chasing little Packman has attacked our little hero. Packman has to defeat all of them and to win this uneven encounter.

This Pac-Man-inspired game adds a few interesting twists to the tried-and-true concept. In PacDoom, your round yellow ball is armed with guns, bombs, and other weapons. As in the original, you find yourself in a maze filled with dots, though in this version, the labyrinths are interconnected. Your goal is not necessarily to eat all the dots in the mazes, but to find the keys to advance to the next level. Enemies include number of tech-inspired nasties, such as worms, viruses, hackers, and evil system administrators. The 3D graphics aren't particularly impressive, and the sound effects are very rudimentary. You won't find a massive feature set, but users who like to fiddle will appreciate the included level editor. In spite of its ominous name, PacDoom makes a decent pick for children, as well as for Pac-Man aficionados who must play all the variations on the market.
