From Philex:From the developer: Visec is a software program that turns your computer into a Powerful Video Surveillance System. With Visec, users only need a PC and an inexpensive Web cam. No other hardware is required. Visec can monitor a room and record video on a user's computer when motion is detected. Visec uses powerful algorithmic software based motion detection, eliminating the need to buy any hardware. When motion is detected, (such as a burglar’s movement) Visec's alert system will e-mail you a picture of the motion that was detected, to a cell phone, PDA, or computer. Like a traditional surveillance system, Visec's video history feature allows you to playback surveillance during specified times such as when you're away from home or out of the office. Visec features Remote Live Access allowing you to see a live view of your home or office anywhere in the world you have Internet access. Additionally, you can also view recorded video from previous days. Visec also includes Stealth Mode, where the program can operate secretly on a PC, even if the PC is in use. Designed for both consumers and professionals, Visec's remote video is also PDA friendly on the Palm, Pocket PC, and WAP phones. Visec supports multiple USB cameras, and regular RCA cameras. Internet Access is not required, but Internet access greatly enhances the features.

"Great software and top notch tech service."
Pros: The security software is user friendly, inexpensive and top notch. It means a lot that Phliex and their team of experts stand behind their products and are there to assist non technical people like myself. They have helped me to set up the perfect security system for my home. I have a wireless network in my home...Alexander in tech support took care of setting up my router to help me monitor my home via the internet...in real time, no less! I currently have 3 cameras set up. Everything works flawlessly. Thanks Philex!

"Might have been $79 once, but is now $99. No complaints otherwise."
Pros: Captures at several size options. 640x480 monochrome image captures (jpg) are generally under 20K. Web publishing feature seems to work well. Can specify a maximum amount of disk space for the images so it doesn't fill up your disk. Motion activation is a nice feature and the adjustable motion trigger level is very useful.
Cons: I thought $79 was a bit high for what I want to use it for, but then discovered that it is no longer $79, it is $99. I like the software but will go back and evaluate other less expensive products.

"Tried Numerous Other Titles First"
Pros: We downloaded numerous security software titles, including Active WebCam, TinCam, WebCam XP, SimpleCam, LuxRiot, and several others, but Visec stands head & shoulders above ALL of them. Setup was a snap, yet the program was more sophisticated than any other titles we tried, and the built-in webserver is bulletproof. Also, almost most importantly: There were real people available by phone for tech support; no other title we tried offered that. Honestly, truly, look no further than Visec.

"Great product, I already caught a thief in just 1 week of use"
Pros: The product works well. I caught a thief breaking into my garage and stealing my tools. The picture was clear enough that I was able to press charges with the police and the guy that broke in was my actually a neighbor it caught, and now he is in jail. The police had a search warrant and it turns out the guy had a lot of stolen stuff from other neighbors too. (I sent the clip to the manufacturer so maybe they posted it on their website)
Cons: At this point the software is the easiest one to use I had tried and it has so many advance features I have yet to use. As far as I am concerned this software is a hero.
